Dream Theater Train of Thought

Train of Thought has a shorter track list then most other albums, but each song is jam packed with never-ending guitar solos and inspiring lyrics. The lead guitarist is unquestionably talented, however I feel that Dream Theater over did the amount of guitar solos. Each song began and ended with an elaborate solo, and usually contained one throughout the song. Other then this, the album is pretty good, and the fact that each song averaged 10 minutes didn’t take away from the CD. The front man demonstrates a range in vocal ability with his constant transition from soft to pump your fists hardcore. Overtime I am sure they will be able to perfect their skills and prove to the music world that Dream Theater has what it takes to be the net big name in the heavy metal industry.

Track Listing:

1.   As I Am 5.   Vacant
2.   This Dying Soul 6.   Stream Of Consciousness
3.   Endless Sacrifice 7.   In The Name Of God
4.   Honor Thy Father
