FEFF- QUESTION THE MOTIVE

Uh oh look out there's some "New Yawkers" in the house. "Question The
Motive" Feff's debut CD showcases the skills of one determined and one skilled
band. This band comes at you swinging so you better brace yourself for some nice
welts and bruises. Rob Pfeffer voice is strong and somewhat intimidating
actually, and no I don't mean any of that screaming death metal shit- just the
delivery suggests that there is def a bite behind that bark. These guys started
playing in the NYC club circuit and everywhere else they could and earned
themselves many die hard fans in the process.
When I was sent this CD to review I was told that the band was incredible
and could really kick ass whether it be onstage or on CD. Not like hmmm
say....Soul Asylum, I used to love them anyway I saw them perform on MTV live
and was like what the fuck? It was awful. Not this band. While listening to it you can
feel Feff's electricity .. like the over powering jolt of a power surge thru your
body and trust me today I needed just that to get by. I have been totally
swamped with reviews and a person can only take on so much.
Don't get me wrong I LOVE this job and thanks to it I have found out about
Feff. The band was musically impacted by Godsmack, Alice n' Chains, and
Metallica and sometimes a splurge of influence peeks out from a guitar riff or
drumbeat. Howard Stern has taken a liking to the band and endlessly promotes
them on his show. This fall the band heads out on a 3 week tour across the East
coast ending it in Philly with a 3500 sold out show at the Tower Theatre. Don't
stress, a national tour to support the new CD will hit this spring and summer so
try and catch them. Until then treat yourself to a copy of "Question the Motive"
and play it till yours ears burn and bleed. I have a hunch these boys are going
to make it. They have the skill, brains and guts to pull it off- and hopefully
heads won't swell and egos won't burst so we can enjoy this powerful exhibit of
sharp musicianship for many long years to come. There is no way this band is
going to travel along unnoticed they are a unexpected force that will conquer
 all.
